Through my eyes my heart photographs art in the beauty of everyday life.

I'm a fine art photographer.  I create art from places we observe every day.  I explore gardens and see the beauty of a white rose bud starting to unfurl its petals as it reaches for the sun.  I see the hummingbird returning to her nest as her two baby birds wait impatiently for their nectar.  I take walks at the beach, wetlands and our local parks and neighborhoods, noticing the way the light makes the sand golden or shines through the falling leaves from an old oak tree.  I'm a fine art photographer.  My photographs are not documentaries of a time or place.  They are my emotional response to the world around me.  I choose my light, composition and settings on the camera then select the image that reflects my artistic eye.  I look at each element of the picture I'm trying to unveil and using my computer as my tool (like other artists use brushes and pens) I create my art to reveal what is within me.

I have always admired the great adventurer photographer who climbs mountains, sails the seas and reaches places that most people can only imagine. 

But that is not me.  I am a mom of four and a grandmother of three, I have a wonderful husband who always travels with me and encourages my passion and career as an artist.  I didn't go to art school and I'm a teacher by training (which I also love) but I've always had a need to create.  I tried many mediums until I discovered photography on a trip to Canada.  I have traveled to many places but my favorites are Kauai and   Huntington Beach, where I live,
